Concert Grand Toy Piano (37 key)

The impressive Schoenhut Concert Grand Toy Piano is an exquisite miniature replica of a full-size concert grand. Complete with opening top to amplify the lovely chime-like tones, this smaller version is designed for a child with serious musical aspirations. Each piano in this series is custom built from solid maple and one half inch laminated birch, with the interior hand finished to match the selected exterior finish. The hinge is designed to raise and lower gradually, so will not slam down on little fingers. This great piano has a full 37 key, three octave range.

Chromatically tuned by hand, the lovely chime-like notes are produced by little hammers striking precision-ground, German steel musical rods, instead the conventional piano wires used in full-sized pianos. In addition, this toy piano comes with Schoenhut's patented Learning System. Based on a removable color strip fits behind the keys, this system guides small fingers from chord to chord. The color strip also works on adult keyboards, since keys on Schoenhut toy pianos are of the same width. This teaches children proper piano key finger stretch from the time they start learning to play the piano. The included song book contains a collection of music that uses this Learning System to teach your child how to play the piano.

This Concert Grand Toy Piano is made from maple, birch and hardboard, and is designed for ages 3 and up. Piano dimensions: 21-1/2 inches high by 24 inches wide by 27 inches deep. The included matching bench is 9-1/4 inches high by 14 inches wide by 6 inches deep. The weight of toy piano and bench is 32 pounds.
