Legna (pronounced LANE-ya) is an amazing new fiber from Italy that looks and feels like silk but washes and wears like cotton! Made entirely from the wood of sustainably harvested trees using an award winning process, Legna was created as an eco-friendly alternative to the cotton industry. Using a closed loop process that continuously recycles 99.6% of the no-bleach solvent and the water used to make this fiber, Legna has been honored with the prestigious European Union Technology Award for Sustainable Development.

We have a set of Legna sheets that we rotate on our own bed, and they feel and drape just like silk, but we throw the Legna bedding in the washer and dryer just like cotton. Legna absorbs moisture four times better than cotton for a cool, dry sleeping environment that is especially comfortable in summer heat. We also find that both men and women like the silky look and feel of Legna bedding. Legna is a wonderful eco-fiber!
