Coyuchi's organic cotton is certified organic by the respected German/Swiss organic standards organization, IMO, and the Dutch organic standards organization, Skal. The cotton is processed into fabric in a totally natural fashion, without the use of chemicals. The organic cotton fabric is preshrunk using steam to keep its fit. White sheets are bleached using only mild hydrogen peroxide, not harsh chemical bleaches. All Coyuchi sheets are machine washable in warm or cold water, tumble dry on low heat, making them easy care for the busy family. Cotton is the most heavily sprayed crop on earth, consuming 25% of all the world's production of pesticides. Before World War II, all cotton was grown organically and the incidence of cancer was low.
