Barrique Kitchen Island

The Barrique kitchen island uses the charred interior side of real wine barrel staves for a unique style. The bottom two shelves are wine barrel tops surrounded by steel wine barrel hoops. The top is a maple butcher block, perfect for carving. This kitchen island is designed to go with the hanging Barrique pot rack. First popularized by celebrity chef Michael Chiarello, this handsome furniture is made of recycled white oak wine barrels from the wine regions of California and France. Even the steel barrel hoops are reused in some of these furniture pieces. The non-barrel-stave portions of this furniture are made of white pine recycled from old barn timbers and some new white pine wood, if required. This great furniture is created using a combination of fine wood joinery and steel fasteners for strength. It is finished in your choice of a hand rubbed stain or an antiqued paint, and then covered with multiple coats of lacquer for a fine patina. Made in the USA.
